Build strength. Earn the distance.
ESCI Certified Coach
One-on-one coaching

Train for the distance without losing the strength you built.

Coaching for hybrid athletes. The lifter who just signed up for their first or next triathlon, and the endurance athlete who refuses to give up the barbell. Strength first, distance earned, built around your real life.

Is this right for you

Coaching is a partnership, not a rescue.

You own the execution. I own the structure. That split is the whole thing. If you're ready to follow a plan, log your work, and tell me the truth about how it's going, we'll get somewhere. If you're looking for someone to motivate you, this isn't it, and I'll tell you that honestly.

I take a small number of clients at a time and I'm selective about fit. That's on purpose. It's how the coaching stays personal and how I make sure the people I work with are the ones ready to do the work.

What coaching actually is

A program built for one person. You.

Not a PDF I hand to a hundred people. We start with a real intake: training history, goals, schedule, injuries, equipment, blood work, the whole picture. Then I build your program from scratch and adjust it as your data comes in.

Built around your life

Job, family, the hours you actually have. I'd rather program four real hours than ten fictional ones.

Strength as the foundation

We protect strength first, then build endurance on top of it. A strong body handles training. A weak one just survives it.

Adjusted from your data

You log the work and tell me the truth. I read it and change the plan. That loop is how progress compounds.

Direct access to me

Access runs from monthly check-ins to unlimited messaging, depending on your tier. Whatever you pick, you get real communication and never a plan dumped on you with no support.

I've done the races and the training myself. This isn't theory. It's what I live.

Who you'd be working with

I'm Abel.

Ironman-certified coach, dad, and someone who learned this the hard way. I showed up to my first triathlon on a bike from Canadian Tire and figured out the strength-and-endurance balance through my own training, not a textbook.

Coaching is personal for me, so I keep the roster small. Work with me and you get someone who's lived the messy middle you're in, and who builds your plan around your real life, family and all.

How applying works

Five minutes to start.

STEP 01

Apply

Answer a few honest questions about where you are, what you're training for, and what's getting in the way. Free, and it takes about five minutes.

STEP 02

I review it personally

I read every application myself and reply by email. If I don't think I can help you, I'll tell you straight and point you somewhere better.

STEP 03

We talk, then decide

A short conversation to make sure it's a fit both ways. You decide in your own time, and I'll be straight with you either way.

Ready to own it?

This isn't for everyone, and it's not meant to be. If you're serious about combining strength and endurance and you're ready to own the work, this is exactly what I do.

The more honest you are about where you are right now, the better I know how to help. The application takes a few minutes. Once you submit, I review it and reach out directly by email with your next steps.

I read every application personally. You're never left to figure it out on your own.
Before you apply

Fair questions.

Do you have client results to show?

Not yet, and I'm honest about that. What I do have is my own training and racing: Ironman-certified, evidence-based, and I've been through the messy middle myself. You're not paying for testimonials. You're paying for a coach who's lived the thing he's coaching.

What does it cost?

Coaching runs in tiers depending on how much support you want, starting at the foundation level and going up to full endurance-plus-strength programming. I'll walk you through the exact number on our call, no hidden pricing games. There's a three-month minimum, because meaningful change doesn't happen in four weeks.

I'm not sure I'm ready. Should I still apply?

Yes. That's exactly what the application is for. You don't need it all figured out to apply. I'll take the time to understand where you are and tell you honestly whether coaching makes sense right now, or whether something else would serve you better.

Not ready for one-on-one yet?

Start with the paid newsletter tier: deeper, structured guidance for a fraction of coaching, and the natural step before working together directly. Everything I publish free is useful, the paid tier goes deeper. When you outgrow it, coaching is here.
